Terms of Use
Effective Date: October 15, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the website at https://www.aiforlawyersacademy.com (the “Website”) and the free tools, downloads, course, certificates, programmes and other services offered through it (together, the “Services”), provided by AI for Lawyers Academy, a private training and education venture founded by Adam Jabbar (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
2. Educational content, not legal advice
Everything on the Website, including articles, the Legal AI Briefing, tools, templates, clauses, checklists and generated outputs, is general educational information. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer-client relationship with Adam Jabbar, AI for Lawyers Academy or TECHLAWG. Laws, court rules and professional-conduct rules differ between jurisdictions and change often. You are responsible for checking primary sources and the rules that apply to you, and for your own professional judgment.
3. Free tools and generated documents
Our free tools run in your browser and produce outputs, such as prompts, policies, clauses, questionnaires, classifications, scores and calculations, based on the information you enter. These outputs are starting points. They may be incomplete, may not suit your circumstances and must be reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on or adopt them. The Citation Checker identifies citation patterns to help you verify them; it does not confirm that any authority exists or is good law. The State Bar AI Guidance Navigator and EU AI Act Risk Classifier are summaries and decision aids, not authoritative statements of the law.
4. Free downloads and your licence to use them
You may download, print and use our free PDFs, templates and prompts for your own professional development and within your own organisation, and you may adapt templates for that use. You may share the Website’s links freely. You may not sell our materials, republish them as your own, or remove our attribution. All other rights are reserved.
5. Free course and certificates
The free AI Competency for Lawyers course certificate, and certificates issued for our paid programmes, are certificates of completion from a private training provider. They are not regulated academic or professional qualifications and are not CLE, CPD or MCLE accredited unless we expressly confirm accreditation in writing for a specific organisational programme. Free course certificates are generated on your device from the name you enter; you must enter your own name truthfully.
6. Programmes and payment
Programme content, format and availability may change; we will tell enrolled participants about material changes in advance. Fees are confirmed at enrolment. Payment and refund terms for each programme are set out in writing at the point of booking and form part of your agreement with us. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or cancellation rights you have under the law that applies to you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Website unlawfully; attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or interfere with its operation; scrape or copy it at scale; or use our forms to send spam or unlawful content.
8. Intellectual property
The Website and its content, including text, design, tools, course materials, the AI for Lawyers book series and the AI for Lawyers Academy name and branding, belong to Adam Jabbar and AI for Lawyers Academy or their licensors. Except for the licence in section 4, no rights are granted to you.
9. Third-party websites and services
The Website links to third-party websites, including Amazon, LinkedIn, Calendly, legal databases and news publishers, and displays headlines from third-party publications. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Mentions of AI products in our directory and articles are editorial and do not mean the vendor endorses us.
10. Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, currency or suitability of the Services for any purpose, and we do not guarantee the Website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI for Lawyers Academy and Adam Jabbar are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on free content, tools or outputs. Our total liability in connection with a paid programme is limited to the fees you paid for that programme. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts at Islamabad have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms by changing the Effective Date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms. Questions: contact@aiforlawyersacademy.com.
